Can you negotiate a new house?
I am looking to buy a new house - has anyone negotiated a price list below for their new home? I watch one of these builders in Las Vegas - Lennar, Meritage, KB
In this market, you can almost name your price. HOWEVER: In real estate there are two very old expressions: 1] you [the buyer] names of the prize. They [the seller] names of terms. You [the buyer] names of terms. They [the seller] names of the prize. Somewhere in the middle, it could be an agreement on price and terms. 2] A property - any property - not worth what the buyer is willing to pay for it and what the seller is willing to sell it for - not one dollar more or less! And when funding is involved, what the lender will assess the property and lending money for mortgages. The only way you will discover that the bottom line is the seller, is to make a written offer on the property. Thank you for asking your Q! I liked to answer them! VTY, Ron Beru Yes, that's my real name!
